   Normiska's Boundary Water Pine Bark mulch is the premium bark mulch on the market. It competes with the odor of cypress, the color of cedar and far surpasses hardwood mulches in its plant friendly nature. Our bark mulches are aged at our site to provide a slightly acid pH and a stability that one cannot count on with most hardwood bark mulches. Overly fresh bark mulch can decompose rapidly and starve nearby plants of nitrogen. We size our mulches to produce three different bark chip mulches which are 3/8" (#1); >3/8";<3>3/4";<2" (#3). all of these products are available in 2 cubic foot bags or in bulk. Our bark mulches should be applied to beds and pathways at a depth of approximately 2". Over-application can lead to further bark decomposition at the soil-bark interface. under-application fails to provide the proper weed barrier and moisture retention characteristics the gardener is trying to achieve. the mulch should be water heavily shortly after application to avoid nuisance mold growth. We believe we have built the most versatile bark screening plant on the continent in that we can custom produce any size product a customer may want with little or no extra cost or change over time. |
